OptiRisk’s Projects are primarily in the domain of ‘Financial Markets’. The research team uses financial market data, news sentiment data as appropriate and, derivatives data as and when required.
Successful candidate is expected to possess knowledge of predictive AI/ML and Neoclassical Quant model(s).

Skills/Requirements:
- In the top 5% in educational grades in their country of schooling/education; school grades are important consideration.

- Has acquired knowledge in modern methods of Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) in short (AI&ML)
- Has a basic understanding of the Financial Markets; and the quantitative models applied to Trading and Investment Management.
- Is skilled in computational models and in the use of Python or R and another programming language.
- Competent in SQL and relational databases

Compensation:

The appointee will also carry out client facing marketing and support activities (listed under Other Projects).
- Modelling Analysis and (Software) Product Support
Tasks include the following points, which is an indicative but not complete list:- The appointee will be working directly with the Managing Director and also interact with the rest of OptiRisk’s development and support team.
- The appointee will give technical support to the company’s clients and from time to time, will be required to work at the offices of the client with the technical team.
- During the first two months of employment,the new appointee will be given training.

Ideal Candidate
The ideal candidate will have a postgraduate degree in computing, mathematics or economics from a Tier 1 Higher Educational Institutions (HEI) in India. He or she would have 1 – 3 years’ work experience, preferably with industry experience in Financial Services. Graduates of other quantitative disciplines but looking for an early career move to computational finance may also apply. The candidate is also expected to possess ability and passion for problem solving, abstract reasoning and commitment to achieve results and career development.
Compensation:
OptiRisk pays a premium for talented personnel. The salary is competitive and above the market average. Starting salary is between INR 12,00,000 – 15,00,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition, the company pays incentive bonus which is specified on a project by project basis.
